Everyone knows that when we use coercion as a means to getting a job done, it backfires. If not immediately, eventually. That's because anything performed in a half-hearted manner is never done as well as when people are fully engaged. And just as importantly, it takes its toll on relationships. Morale goes down and goodwill suffers. The price it too high. And despite the fact that we intuitively know this, we unwittingly perpetuate the dynamic. In this talk, Rachelle gives her audience concrete alternatives to this losing cycle.
One of the greatest challenges we face as human beings is learning how to channel strong feelings and negative reactions in ways that are appropriate and beneficial. It's so easy to get seduced by well rehearsed reactions and lose all awareness of other possibilities. In this talk, Rachelle guides participants as they investigate a challenging situation of their own, examining each contributing component and then overlaying it with a brand new template that will enable more fruitful exhanges and ultimately yield positive results.
"Learning these tools has made such a difference in my life! I am experiencing far more peace and ease in my relationships and am able to hear people's messages without resorting to former habitual knee-jerk reactions."
I enjoyed the relaxed presentation rather than ‘in your face’ style and how Rachelle related to her own life experiences. The workshop opens up new communication skills.
