WHAT IS NONVIOLENT COMMUNICATION (NVC)?
For nearly two decades, Rachelle Lamb, certified CNVC trainer, has been teaching Nonviolent Communication. The NVC process was developed by clinical psychologist and international peacemaker Dr. Marshall Rosenberg (1934-2015) and it has received worldwide acclaim for its revolutionary approach to resolving conflict. NVC is essentially a way of thinking and speaking based on meeting NEEDS instead of expressing alienating and defensive responses.

CONFLICT VERSUS COLLABORATION
In our increasingly stressful and fast-paced lives, the ability to understand the nature and mechanics of both conflict and collaboration is vital to maintaining our personal and collective well being.
ARE YOU BANGING YOUR HEAD AGAINST THE WALL?
Most people will admit that it's pretty hard in these times to get through a day without relationships being tested. For instance: Are you tired of having the same old arguments over and over again? Tired of not being heard? Tired of being afraid to speak? Tired of not knowing what to say? Tired of feeling like either you or the world has gone crazy?
AN EVENING OF LEARNING
Join Rachelle for a lively evening exploring a powerful approach to speaking up, establishing rapport and resolving differences that is soundly rooted in spiritual and emotional intelligence. We’ll examine the differences between life alienating communication and the kind of relating that strengthens bonds between people and is anchored to life itself.

To speak eloquently, directly and courageously when the stakes are high does not come naturally. It is a learned skill. And if you haven't learned it, which is close to guaranteed in a culture that doesn't teach it, you probably already know that when you need it most is precisely when it becomes painfully clear just how impoverished our culture is in this regard and that you have inherited this same poverty. And in a culture that prides itself on "progress" and "individualism", you can be sure that the stakes will be even higher when it comes to your relationships. The cost of alienation will likely be far greater than what your heart can bear.
