• Nonviolent Communication℠, commonly referred to as NVC, is a communication process developed by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg that helps people overcome blocks to connection and understanding between self and others. Learn more here.

  • The Developmental Model™ was developed by Drs. Ellyn Bader and Peter Pearson, founders of the Couples Institute. The DM™ is a non-pathologizing approach that identifies the various stages of development that couples encounter during the course of their relationship. Where most couples become stuck is in the stage of differentiation where they become disillusioned with the relationship (why can’t things be like when we first met?) The Developmental Model™ supports couples in understanding and navigating their differences and challenges as a means to strengthening their relationship.

The DM™ is equally supportive in working with individuals whether or not they are involved in a significant relationship.

  • Everyone comes to sessions with different goals, different scenarios, different family of origin influences etc., and so it’s impossible to predict how many sessions will be required. Think of it as a journey with various stops along the way. I advise starting off with 1 or 3 sessions to begin with to get a feel for it. In the case of couples, I recommend a minimum of 6 or 12 sessions to start off especially if negative patterns are well established.

  • I am a certified Nonviolent Communication trainer and unfortunately NVC support is not recognized under insurance plans.

  • If you’d like to work with me but session fees are out of reach for you, please email me with a description of your circumstances and what you would be able to pay. I cannot guarantee a reduced fee but I am willing to enter into a conversation with you about it.

  • I am happy to discuss organizational goals and objectives for those wishing to schedule organizational trainings.

For individuals or couples considering working with me privately, I invite you to explore my website and the many free resources available before booking your session. This should give you a good sense of my style and approach. In my experience, exploration calls fail to provide a reliable snapshot of what a scheduled working session provides where we have the generosity of time to delve deeply into a client’s presenting issue. Please email me with any questions you might still have after reviewing my site and services. I will gladly respond.

  • I work with a wide variety of clients. What they all have in common is a sincere desire to strengthen their existing relationships and face the parts of themselves that stand in the way. If you’re drawn to what you read on my website, and you have the sincerity, commitment, and willingness to apply yourself to the challenging yet rewarding work of deep inquiry, it is highly likely that our work together will be productive.

  • My work focuses on helping individuals strengthen bonds and effectively resolve conflict. Individuals who are actively being treated for substance abuse or mental health issues that require psychiatric intervention should contact me to discuss their suitability for coaching.
